Oh yes that is a boot on my foot. I broke it trying to get something out of the storage unit on Halloween day. Don't worry we still went trick or treating and had so much fun watching how cute the kids were.Sunday, November 1, 2009

Memorial Day!
Fun at the family campsite
Taking a family walk.
I did not know these swings still exsisted.
Chase loved this rocking horse. He screamed bloody murder when I took him off and told him it was time to go. He seriously sat on that thing for about 25 minutes. He loved it. I wish we had one of those at home to keep him entertained.Pool time!
Chase loves the water. At first he did not want his picture taken so I told him to say cheese and then I would give him a popsicle. Hey what ever works to get that cute smile out...right!
so cute!

Victoria's Winter Program
She is in the middle (white skirt, gray sweater and black boots). They did a routine to this really cute song but the video didn't really turn out. The video that is on here is of when they were finished and they had to pop their balloon.

Happy 6th Birthday!
When Victoria woke up this morning the first thing she said is "Mom I feel 6 now". She woke up early because she was so excited for today. Her class is going on a field trip and I am bringing a cupcake cake to her school. It is all she can talk about.Happy Birthday big girl. We love you Victoria! We are so glad you are a part of our family. You are a ray of sunshine in our lives.

Letter to Santa
This is Victoria's letter to Santa. I told her to decorate it...uh looks like she went a little overboard with the pretty stickers. She did write the letter all by herself. I am very proud of her for that. Notice in the left hand corner the picture of her and Santa holding hands. I love her little people that she draws. Her teacher at school this year said she got the best report card out the whole class.

Fun experience at Church
Chase decided for himself that he did not want to take a morning nap before church this morning. So we got ready and we were running a little late (as usual). We dressed him in a cute new sweater I just bought him. He looked so grown up in it. Anyway, so we get to church and they were still doing the sacrament. So we waited in the hall until it is time for us to go in. When the sacrament was over we went into the overflow and it was full. We had to grab some chairs that were stacked against the wall. No big deal...it was just a little noisy getting settled in. Well we were all situated and then all of a sudden Chase throws up all over me. I thought to myself you got to be kidding. So we all got up and walked out. Luckily we had his blanket so I threw it over the throw up so no one could see. What a day.

Chase's first Birthday
We had to move the cake away from him while we sang happy birthday. He wanted the fire on the candle.
We could not get him to eat his cake. He kept spitting it out.
Big boy now.
The jersey was from Grandma and Papa. Now he can match his silly dad.
This was all everyone that came to his party (Mike was taking the picture).
He got some really fun toy's.

Victoria's first day of school
I don't know who was more excited that she was starting school...me or her. She is in full day which is nice. I feel a little guilty that I am so happy to get a break for her during the day. I think it will be good for both of us. She gets so bored hanging out at home all day.
She was so excited she woke up before anyone else.
This is her teacher...(she looks like she just graduated from High School).
She could not wait to sit at her desk and get started for the day. I just hope she has the same enthusiasm when she gets to High School.
She is growing up so fast.

BEAR LAKE!!
We went to Bear Lake a couple of weeks ago. The trip made me realize how much I missed the mountains. The road trip was LONG. I will not do that again unless we move back to Utah. We are currently trying to do that. Mike has a phone interview today for a company in South Jordan. Wish him luck!

Memorial Day
Mike and Victoria got to go on the cars while I stayed behind to watch Chase. They were the first car back so Victoria won a checked flag (I am not sure if you can see it in the picture). We also went and played video games at the arcade. Just after lunch that day we went and walked the trail along the river. It was only 72 degress out, but when you are walking on black pavement in the sun it gets really hot really quick. Needless to say we did not get far with our little princess complaining she was tired and hot. I told her she needs to suck it up if she ever wants to play any sports.

Mini Van

We Finlay got a mini van. We are now the proud owners of a Honda Odyssey. I have waited forever for one and it was worth the wait! Victoria calls it our limo....like Hannah Montana's. It has a flip down DVD player in it and she tells everyone about it.The only bad thing is she expects me to put a movie on every second that she is in it. Now we have room to pile three more kids in it....ha ha not three more of our own. Well maybe one more....if my nerves aren't shot from dealing with my 5 year old "princess" all day long.
Happy Mother's Day!
I got a new vacuum for mother's day and I love it. Oh yes I am one of the weird ones who likes practical things. Anyone who knows me well enough knows that. I am a clean freak what can I say. Mike got fed up with me yelling at our old stupid vacuum that did anything but "suck".
I also got a pancake breakfast....mmmm my favorite.
Happy Mother's day to all of my friends and family. I hope you have the best day ever!

Feelings about the move
Well it has been a big change moving from Spokane to Yakima. We all have had to make a lot of changes and adjustments. Poor Victoria gets so bored now that she does not go to school half day. I am still getting used to the fact that I am not working anymore. Mike has taken a huge pay cut when we moved which has been hard. I have thought about going back to work but the thought of putting Chase in daycare breaks my heart. I have developed such a bond with him being able to be with him all day. We hope to save as much as we can so we can be back on our own again soon.
Packing up the house...Yakima here we come again

I was trying to pack our house up for the big dreaded move and Chase kept on wanting me to hold him. I was getting a little flustered since I had so much to do, so I put him in one of the bins we had bought for packing with a bowl and he could not of been happier. It was so cute I had to take a picture. Who needs expensive toys!
It was very sad to leave our nice big apartment. I still think about it everyday, and miss it. Hopefully Mike will get a good job soon so we can be back on our own again.

FOOT BALL!!!!
Courde'Lane Satruday adventure
We went to Courde'Lane Idaho to let Victoria play on this really cool wooden playground that they have there. When we got there it was covered in snow. When is it going to be spring! We made the best of the day and walked around and ended up having a fun day. We even got to go to Del Taco on the way home....mmmm my favorite.
Victoria stood in front of the statue for a while and she got a lot of laughs from the people walking by. She loved the attention. She can be such a goof...I love it.
We went into this really cool small toy store. It is one that you could spend all day in. Chase sat on the little mary go round they had. He was not too sure about it as you can tell from the expression on his face. He was ready to get off.

Congratulations!!!!!
Chase has had pneumonia this whole past week so I was due for some good news. My sister Stacy called me this morning and told me she is getting married. She sounded so gitty and happy. I am so excited for her. I can still remember the day I got married and how happy I was... and still am. Being married to your best friend is the best thing in the world. I Love You Mike! I wish my sister the best in her relationship.

Things always happen for a reason
Well it finally happened. I lost my job and it looks like we will be moving....again! At first I was very stressed out about it, but now I just look at it as an out. We have been getting used to living in Spokane, but we have never really loved it here. Mike is looking into transferring down to Yakima to work for Cintas down there . We hope it works out if it is meant to be. It breaks my heart to take Victoria out of her preschool. She loves it. The teachers have been so good with her. I hate change so I am hoping it will go smoothly. Wish us luck!!!!!

Big boys don't cry, they smile
The whole time I was taking his picture he could not stop smiling. His smile is so contagious. Just think about 10 months ago when the doctor did my ultra sound (to find out the sex of the baby) I cried when they told me it was a boy. What was I thinking! He is defiantly a little ball of sunshine in our lives. I could not of asked for a better little boy. Although it is still a mystery where the red hair came from.
Future American Idol star
Victoria loves to play pretend "American Idol". She has made fake papers to look like the golden tickets that the judges hand out to the winners who went to Hollywood. Guess who gets to be the lucky pretend judge...oh yes me! The show does not come on until her bed time, but she knows how to win her dad's heart to stay up to watch by asking Daddy if she can snuggle with him. Of course Mike gives in every time :) She asked me the other day if we could pay for her to do "American Idol" when she gets bigger.
My poor sick kids
So we had a fun week...let me tell you about it. We went to the doctors on Monday and Victoria had an ear infection then we went back to the doctors on Thursday and Chase had croupe then....it gets even better, we went back again for the third time on Saturday and Chase has an ear infection too. So between the doctors office and Walgreens pharmacy no wonder why we didn't have extra money this month. The sad thing is who needs a doctor. I could of diagnosed them myself. We even missed the hockey game we had tickets to because Chase decided to be the devil baby on Friday night. Between Mike and I we had to do the pass off to keep our sanity. Good thing he is so dang cute!
The joy's of parenting, and living life
My two kids keep me on my toes. It is very hard to be a good parent sometimes. Victoria likes to try our patients and push our buttons. Kudos to all of you moms out there who have more then two kids...how do you do it? I wish sometimes there was an easy button like on the Staples commercials. I look up to Mike's parents and I think they did a really good job at raising their kids. I hope we can be like them someday. My dad recently passed away and it was very hard on me due to the fact that I wasn't close to him at all. I think that was the hardest thing about him passing. I think about him a lot, sometimes in a good way and sometimes not. He never got to see the world. He never traveled, went on a cruise, took an unplanned road trip. He was always very good with money but never used it to do happy things. Life is too short. I think we all need to live a little.

Victoria's 5th Birthday Party
Victoria turned 5 on January 14th. She said stupid the other day and I told her we don't say that and she told me it was okay because she is a big kid now so she can say bad words now. Oh great! She had a Hannah Montana birthday party. The party was a success but I am glad it is over. You know me Mrs. Perfectionist.
